CLUE # 7 – MAPLE LEAVES
AND AN APPLE BLOCK
Nothing says HARVEST like the delicious APPLE. It is an iconic symbol of the changing season: It is the last harvest of Summer and the first harvest of Fall. It marks the end of vacation and the start of the school year. In fact, the simple Apple, it could be said, is the result of a beautiful summer and the source of a delicious fall. We just couldn’t have a FALL HARVEST MYSTERY QUILT, without one.
This week has three clues, The Apple and two Maple Leaves; another quintessential sign of the change of the season. These super cute maple leaves can be made in a monotone color story by using a mix of prints in a similar shade, or you can mix it up to show off all the festive hues of fall. Don’t let the angles and points worry you, the construction is entirely “Stitch and Flip”; there are no odd angles and no “Y” seams to stumble over: They are as easy as APPLE PIE!
