TAKING IT SLOW… with Fancy That Design House

Have you ever wanted to just shut down the computer, silence the cell phone, and turn off the TV for a little peace and quiet?  Once you did that, what would you do?  Go for a walk outside?  Sit and Sew?  Read The Good Book?  How about all of that at once?  It’s time to take a break and take another look at Slow Stroll.

We are taking a casual, relaxing, Slow Stroll with Fancy That Design House.  Few designers walk the line of vintage and nature with as much grace as Fancy That Design House. Walk that line with them, as we take a stroll, with Slow Stroll; a collection of perfectly etched florals and foliage to bring you to the edge of the wilderness with every print!

Slow Stroll is a cute, modern collection with a beautiful blend of wildflowers, acorns, modern hatched stripes, and more. It will bring the wilderness, right to your sewing machine!

Have you ever noticed how fast and furious new lines of fabric come out each season?  Some real beauties are bound to get lost in the shuffle.  Now that we have had some time to pet, love, and dream about Slow Stroll, we are ready to discover all the possibilities that this collection has to offer and help it fulfill its destiny; to become the project it was meant to be….

Color Patch Cascade: this is one of the beautiful patterns designed around the rich, tertiary color palette of Slow Stroll.  Designed to be a fast and easy throw; it is pieced using only one layer cake and a panel from the collection. Using simple straight piecing and easy to follow instructions, any level of sewist will love this quilt.   Finished size: 44″ x 56″.

However, we used a fat quarter tower for our Color Patch Cascade so that we could use the balance of the panels in another project and look… Adorable!

We squared up the remaining three blocks and sized down the patches; there was enough for this sweet Prayer Blanket for our friend suffering with  cancer.  She loved the prayers and sentiments in the blocks and immediately put it to use!

I know what you are thinking..  “But, what about us who love a larger quilt?”  We’ve got the solution for you; Using a fat quarter bundle and incorporating All of the panel blocks, this creative quilter made tetris like color blocks in order to create a larger quilt.  You can do it too, for someone you love.

10 ” Layer Cakes and the Color Patch Cascade patterns are still available in our store.  Or, pick up a Fat Quarter bundle; the full panel is included in the tower! And for a limited time, they are on sale… 31% off, while supplies last.

Don’t miss out on Slow Stroll.  If this collection slid by unnoticed, take another look.  If you have already bought it, its time to get it out, take a walk with this collection and make your projects pop!
